It has been difficult for Auckland remaining in Alert level 4, while the rest of country moved to Alert level 2 and are able to get out and about in that beautiful spring weather. The small team at Shore Rentals have been busy working from home, keeping up with phone calls, emails, assisting their essential workers with their requirements, processing paperwork, and keeping up with their social media pages.
Shore Rentals will be back again in the office when Auckland moves to Alert level 3, but their doors will be closed to the public and they will be operating a contactless pick-up and drop-off of their rental cars, meaning all bookings must be made online or over the phone. Unfortunately, they are unable to accept walk-up bookings at Alert level 3. Businesses with workers who need to cross the boundary may apply for a Business Travel document and workers crossing the boundary will soon need to prove they have had a recent Covid-19 test.
When Auckland moves to Alert level 2, you may travel to other regions outside of Auckland, The Tourism Industry Aotearoa would love to see the restart of domestic tourism and Shore Rentals’ customers supporting ski regions like Whakapapa and Turoa in the North Island. Also, with the school holidays approaching in October it would be great to see families out there travelling around the country again. There is planning underway for a strong summer campaign scheduled to launch when all New Zealand is at Alert level 2 or lower.
