Fit LTD, an NZ leader in kitchen and home design solutions, have announced a second charity drive for 2020. Fit typically runs a charity promotion each year, but this year have opted for two. The second charity drive is planned to run through September and October, will benefit the Family Food Box programme through Rapid Relief Team.
Rapid Relief Team—or RRT—is a global volunteer network first founded in Australia. They carry out disaster support, aid for the homeless, and operate youth-focused charities in many countries.
The RRT Food Boxes programme began in 2019, in order to help those who need assistance directly. First established in order to help those affected by domestic violence, RRT’s Food Box programme now delivers emergency supplies to those in need from low socio-economic backgrounds, or those experiencing crisis. The supplies contain a variety of non-perishable, long-life food.
Fit’s upcoming promotion functions the same way as their previous fundraising drive in 2020, which raised funds for the Women’s Refuge’s Gift A Safe Night programme. For orders over $350+ gst, Fit will be able to accumulate donations, which are then passed on to RRT.
Fit’s fundraising goal for the Women’s Refuge’s Gift A Safe Night programme was $4000, and currently, the promotion is on target to reach this goal. The goal for the upcoming RRT Food Box promotion will also be $4000.
