Innovative kitchen design solutions provider Fit LTD is well-known for running annual charity promotions. Fit accumulates donations for Kiwi charities from orders received during the fundraiser.
This year, Fit is running two fundraisers; one in July and August, and a second through September and October. This year has seen many communities face incredible hardship, and Fit strives to support communities wherever possible. This is why Fit has elected to support the New Zealand Women’s Refuge as their first charity fundraiser.
During the March COVID-19 lockdown Kiwis faced some extreme hardships, and Fit is mindful that for some, staying home was harder than for others. The Women’s Refuge offers a programme called ‘Gift a Safe Night’, which allows people to book rooms for victims of domestic violence and abuse. Fit highly values the work done by the Women’s Refuge toward helping those who don’t have safe homes to stay in. Through the programme, a safe night costs only $20. Fit’s aim is to help raise $4000, and provide 200 nights of safety for those who need it.

The Women’s Refuge is New Zealand’s largest organisation for supporting women and children experiencing domestic violence. Now that COVID-19 restrictions have eased in NZ, the Refuge is operating at full capacity, although with some additional measures in place to account for the virus.
