February at Backdoor is all about Autumn apparel starting to drop from all their top brands (trickling in slowing as it’s still pretty hot). Backdoor also have a big shipment of Carver skateboards arriving from the US. Carver Skateboards has pioneered the surfskate since 1996 and is still the most iconic surfskate brand out there. Carver is the first name that usually comes to mind when you think about surfskate. Though some solid competitors have emerged, many riders remain faithful to Carver, for the high quality and uniqueness of its surfskate trucks and decks.
Backdoor have been sponsoring the Mangawhai Bowl Jam every year now since its inception, the biggest skate event they sponsor for the year, so put Saturday 6th February 2021 in your calendars. Expect to see the best transition skaters from around New Zealand go head to head for a chance to take out New Zealand’s premier skateboarding event.
Entry is free, and if it is raining on the 6th it will transfer to the 7th of February, start time 10.30am at the Mangawhai Skatepark, Mangawhai, New Zealand.
