Fit LTD—New Zealand’s leading home storage specialist—has been running annual charity events for some time. This year however, the outcome of Fit’s largest charity fundraising effort to date has exceeded all expectations.
Running from September through October, the fundraiser helped contribute to Rapid Relief Team’s Food Box Program, providing emergency food supplies to those in need. Rapid Relief Team—also known as RRT—launched the Food Box initiative in 2019, in order to do more for families in crisis. RRT works with the police and other organisations that are often the first to discover that a family may be in need.
For every order over $350+gst, Fit accumulated an amount to pass on to the charity. Initially, the company aimed to raise $4000 for the charity, but have since announced they they are delighted to report a final total of $5815. This makes it the most impactful charity contribution that Fit has been able to make thus far, although they plan to make more when they can.
The Fit team released a statement to trade customers, thanking them for their support and participation in the charity over September and October. Included in their statement, Fit said: “At Fit, we know how very fortunate we are. That’s why contributing to our community will always be part of our company culture.” They also announced that they would share the details of their next charity promotion in 2021.
